"Excellent location to explore the city from. Less than a five minute walk from Waverley station and walking distance to lots of the tourist attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a suite which was fantastic. The king size bed was really comfortable. Lovely free standing bath and huge shower in the bathroom. "The Place was a comfortable stay for my husband and I. As other reviews mentioned, there are no lifts in this hotel, so pack lightly! Our room was large and comfortable. If this is your first time, keep your keycard in the slot by the door to "power" the room. Every plug has a switch, including the TV. The Place is close to a lot of great eats and shopping, but we chose this specifically because it was close to the Edinburgh Bus Station to catch our 7:45am 1-day bus trip with Rabbie's Tours....
