"Even though it’s on the main drag, it’s very quiet and cozy. It’s within walking distance of at least 20 small restaurants. Wonderful hosts! Delicious breakfast! It’s hard to realize that about 80 years ago, tanks landing at Normandy rolled along these same streets. "

"This was a beautiful old hotel, the staff tried very hard to accommodate and overcome any language barriers. The bar was small and cute and the heated pool and spa looked beautiful. Our room had no lifts only a narrow set of old stairs, that was a struggle with our luggage. The room itself was very noisy at night we both woke up on several occasions due to the sounds of the old building. "I did have a great stay and it has a potential to be a great hotel. They did upgrade us which was so nice but it’s the little things like having hooks to hang your towel in the bathroom, they ask you to reuse your towels then there should be some where to hang them. "Lovely hotel right in the centre of Bayeux with everything easily within walking distance. The room was lovely and warm and the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub and swimming pool were a nice touch after a day of walking in Bayeux and on the Normandy beaches. Highly recommend. "

Excellent hidden gem

"Top notch service. Well appointed, modern, and immaculate rooms. The room was so nice that I felt bad messing up the sheets to go to bed. The site was walking distance to the beach. Site itself was stunning. Even though it was not beach front, the grounds and greenery were pristine even off season. I enjoyed the fact that it was a much smaller hotel and had lots of refinement and personality without seeming stuffy. The service staff was stellar who showed us our room and offered to help with our bags. Even though our receptionist didn’t speak English fluently. She tried her very best and it was much much better than my failed and laughable attempts in French. Even then she remained unflustered, professional and friendly. The hotel does have a sign up front that states they speak English but I feel I should at least try to blend in with the culture. "
