I don’t understand why they take the card to pre authorise the check in payment and when when you check out they take the card again. Surely if a card is pre authorised it just takes the payment. "It is a very central hotel and it was very quiet. The room was not enormous but it was comfortable and the staff was distant but nice. There were paid parking. All in all A pleasant stay "

"The parking situation was not ideal. No directions or signage til at the underground garage. Have to obtain password from reception to unlock padlock to pull heavy metal gate open then closed. No direct route to hotel. So you drag luggage round the main road to the front of the pub/hotel. "

"We had a very nice stay at the Abbey Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. Centrally located near the Abbey and the Thermal bath. Also walking distant to the many shops and sites."
