The room was big and comfortable although parts were showing their age, like the door into the bathroom and wooden wardrobes, however, this really did not detract from a lovely night away. "Amazing hotel, lovely and homely with such fantastic staff. The hotel was overlooking the valley and we had a super room overlooking the valley and the viaduct in the distance. We had a day of snow & a power cut but the staff were fantastic. We were made to feel welcome ,the food in the Antler restaurant was amazing good quality and plentiful and the breakfast even had fried bread ! Total winner !!! "Really enjoyed my time here, mostly peaceful, food good and left alone as needed privacy. Lovely pub and surroundings. Only gripes would be loud music until 2.00am in the morning one of nights I was there, but I guess this comes with staying in a pub. Also nasty smell in shower/toilet room, Maybe a problem with water pipes. Sort of like a dirty drain smell. Shame as the rest of my experience was great."
