"Excellent location in a very unique and beautiful building. Rooms and bathrooms were very large - there were many positives. However, there were also some negatives that should be addressed. Bathrooms only had 1 towel (not great for a couple) and the mattresses were of a poor and flimsy quality (extremely thin and soft). "Perfect for one night work stay- friendly staff, close to restaurants for dinner; able to purchase snacks/drinks at reception and toiletries etc if you needed anything. Didn't use the bar or restaurant. Walked out to Browns for dinner- few restaurants there- 5 minute walk..perfect. Wlaked to train station in the morning- less tan 10 minutes. Very handy"

"The location in the centre of the city is excellent, if a little difficult to drive up to due to traffic restrictions. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and understanding, providing really great service. We stayed one night and didn't experience the leisure facilities or restaurant, but our room was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. "

There were shops a couple of minutes away, and it was very handy for getting the team to our planned destination of co-op live. All round it was good value, especially with breakfast included, and I'd definitely consider it again."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Mercure all the staff we came in contact with are friendly and professional 5 Stars for them. However, there were a few issues that need to be addressed such as the lift situation very very slow & with one out of service just made coming and going an awful experience. Also our shower in 901 was freezing cold as the temperature knob was broken. Due to the weather storm Bert the last thing needed was a cold shower!! "
