"The location is exceptional. We had a great view of Edinburgh Castle from our window, and only a few minutes walk to all the best restaurants and shops on Grassmarket and Royal Mile. Definitely one of the best hotels in Edinburgh. We received a free coffee/tea voucher upon arrival, though it would've been nice to receive two since there were two of us staying in the room. Coffee is usually complimentary at other hotels of this level."

The only slight negative was that the cooked breakfast (waffles and Eggs Benedict) was all right but not wonderful, so not quite up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. When I inquired I was told there was no issues, it was my phone. When I inquired again, a woman apologized and confirmed there are frequent issues. "
