"We arrived and were personally greeted by Steve. I’ve been too many accommodations in my life and I have never had a host like Steve. He was absolutely superb. We originally planned to stay for two nights and because of the.Bonhomie of the place we stayed a total of six days and five nights. We would have stayed all the way to the end of our trip. This was an unexpected find and you have a really open mind. I highly recommended to book this place. Just remember, it’s not the faint heart. "

"Very close to a lovely beach area (short drive), with recreational facilities. Property well-maintained with 2 chairs and small table outside the room to enjoy the sun. Kitchen well-equipped with hob, fridge and utensils."

"A upmarket lodge that was recently refurbished. Our room number 10 was large and tastefully furnished with a large modern bathroom and good amenities. The breakfast and dinner served at the restaurant was high quality. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly."

I’m not a snob and don’t judge people but they should have disclosed this when booking At 300/night I was expecting something nice and romantic … there were kids and families everywhere. I would suggest they include this in their booking information."

"Wonderful restful lodge across from Motueka River with mountains beyond. Chere Harris is a great host. She fed us great breakfasts and also made a salad and purchased mussels so that we could cook the rest. Couldn't recommend more highly!"
