"The thermal pools are really fun. They were doing construction on a new area. Noisy, but it didn't affect using the pools that were open. The staff was nice, hotel was clean, but has been a while since last renovation."

"Even though I don’t think it was intentional our check-in was a bit off putting. The air conditioning or fan didn’t work, quite stuffy so we had to leave windows open all night. Only one low pillow, found this uncomfortable even though bed comfortable. Carpets quite stained. Breakfast was 27CHF ($46 AUD each) felt this was very expensive. Pleased there was plenty of free parking. Easy walk into town centre."

"This is an excellent hotel. The staff, location and quality of dining is 5-star. I would stay again. Parking is an additional fee of SF15/day. The only complaint is there is no air conditioning in the rooms. On hot days, or even warm days, the rooms are overly warm and the only option is to wait until nightfall and open the patio door - which is a better option if you are not on the ground floor. "In a lovely spot in the old town of Fribourg. Loads of things to do by foot although it is quite hilly. The lady on reception was amazing, really friendly and very helpful. If going back to the train station use the funicular, quite an experience (powered by sewage!) and takes all the hills out which is handy when you have cases"

The history and charm of the Chateau could quickly be felt upon arrival and did not disappoint for the rest of our stay!
