I can't remember the name of the gentlemen staff but he spoke good English and was Sri Lankan who used to work in the middle east. He really really made us feel welcome and comfortable. "Pros: - Hotel personal is welcoming and friendly. - Beach is amazing. The best on in Hikkaduwa. If you enjoy swimming, you will love it. - View from the room is perfect. But you have to book the Premium Ocean View Cons: - Towels are not as clean as you would like them to be - Be aware of bugs in room - Cleaning stuff do not wipe floor and have to be reminded to change towels. "

"Great location far enough away from Mirissa. Peaceful and welcoming staff. Difficult to find a spot to swim in the ocean but possible to take a dip. Hotel pool wasn’t cleaned early enough for us to swim one morning (not open until after 8). Sri Lankan brekkie available as well as eggs and Gandon’s style, serving sizes were very generous. "

"Thambilli House was just terrific, rooms, staff, open areas, pool and location ideal for a Galle Fort visit. This was our 3rd stay at The Fort and by far the best accommodation so far. Only surprise was that the room did not have a bar fridge, quite unusual from our perspective."
