"The property has stunning ocean views. Looked like every room had a balcony facing the ocean and cliff. Simply gorgeous. Staff was very kind, informative, and accommodating. Food left something to be desired, but if you're staying here, you probably rented a car and can head into town to eat in Agua de Pau or further afield to Ponta Delgada. I recommend this place to travelers and nature lovers, as it's more centrally located on the island than Ponta Delgada, more away from the crowds, and...

The huge terrace patio with peaceful views of a nearby farm and rolling hills, the cozy fireplace, the beautifully appointed bedrooms taking one back many decades with their classic decor. "Great location just on the edge of town. Walkable to the town of Furnas. Very clean room. Take note that you are provided the ingredients to cook your breakfast, as there is no dining or room service. It is a very small, intimate style hotel. "
