Whilst not 'manned' the telephone was answered quickly and instructions including a map and how to gain access/breakfast etc was sent over immediately. "It’s ok here, for a hotel in a town that has seen better days. A nice big room (8), clean, well maintained with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was more than big enough, with a huge walk in shower. Pity about the spots of dirt and mould in the bottom rear corners. The room even has its own outside sun deck. The big sticking point though is the nearby business that has its kitchen extractor fan screaming away until half past one in the morning. I realise it’s out of the hotels control, but it...

"Staed one night. Greeted at reception by a lovely lady. Very informative and friendly. Room 14 was a bit dated and tired. Bed not that comfortable but huge ! Pillows ok but one too little and 2 too much. Did not sleep well. Could hear every noise from people next door. Paintwork throughout hotel could do with a refresh. Carpets very worn in places. Service and food in restaurant was very good even though they were busy."

"A very nice hotel, conveniently located near the cathedral, castle & old town. The executive rooms are rather ambitiously named. I would say they are the minimum standard you’d expect from a good hotel these days. Comfortable and adequate. Walls are a little thin, in terms of noise - which could be a problem if you have noisy neighbours. Also cheap and nasty toilet paper which takes the edge of the ‘executive’ experience. "The electric fire in my caravan did not work. The carpets although clean on the surface could do with a deep clean to revive the pile. I reported this to reception. Overhead low flying aircraft every day were very noisy, I know this can't be helped with an RAF base right next door. Otherwise my stay was fine."
