"This is a very old building and the condition reflects this. But it is well maintained and I love that its a bit creaky and shows the history of this distinguished establishment. Staff were very professional and welcoming and the food yesterday evening was a relief after a long day that I didn't have to leave to find something elsewhere. "We were a little apprehensive when we saw that there was building work going on as the hotel is being revamped, but we needn’t have worried, the hotel and builders worked closely to ensure there wasn’t an issue with noise etc. The room we had was spotlessly clean, it was a little tired decor wise, but this is obviously being addressed.
