"What we didnt like was the laundry facilities. Had 6 days of clothes and it didnt dry so had extra time to stay a bit longer in Gore. What we like was the space of the room, comfy chairs and bed, good shower pressure, had everything in the kitchen facilities."

"Second time staying here and although the weather was, again, less than great, it was still a great time and the units and overall space are still really well maintained. Surat Bay is accessible and, further along, so is cannibal bay. Owaka nearby is also a lovely spot for an hour or two, with a solid restaurant, great coffee place, superb book shop and quaint little museum and community space. It is a beautiful spot, far from the world where all you'll hear are birds, the sea and wind moving...

"About as kiwi as you can get, Like staying at a nice place on the 70's but with good internet. No fuss. Very clean and comfy rooms. If you complain about this joint you're probably a deeply unhappy person. "
