The location of the hotel was perfect in the centre of Bury St Edmunds with the addition of free parking. The breakfast was good and the portions excellent. "Superb stay. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Evening meal was delicious, pub quiz great fun, beer very nice with great variety of ales, and breakfast in the morning was wonderful (amazing Eggs Florentine). All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing too much trouble."

"Lovely little ‘quirky’ hotel. The owners were delightful and very helpful. Food was delicious. I did find the stairs to the room quite a challenge due to osteoarthritis, but mobile people wouldn’t find this an issue. The room was adequate and serviced daily. The was a tv - the fact that I could only get one channel at a set volume added to the overall experience. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were replenished daily. Bathroom was small and could do with a touch of paint, but...

"We were at Snetterton race track for three days. The hotel is just 15 mins from the track, I have stayed here at the Townhouse hotel previously and will always come back. OK - The hotel is a little tired but there’s a comfy bed and a pub across the road. That’s what matters. Parking is in a public car park adjacent to the hotel. It’s a quiet village.
