"What a great find in Matamata. This small property is well maintained and quite personable. You feel like you are living in a guest house vs a motel. Excellent, starched linens and sparse, but workable furniture. The host is great, allows guests to use their extended back garden play area, and the property sits right on the rails to trails path. Very convenient location for a stopover to Hobbiton. Would stay here again."

"Large but slightly dated home was clean and comfortable. For the price, I was not impressed with the peeling ceiling in the bathroom or that some of the dishes were not completely clean, but the rest of the home was nice with a lovely patio and was across from the pool. The grounds had beautiful landscaping and the pool was nice. Close to restaurants and shopping with pak n save close for dining in options. "

"Such a great little treasure! Room was clean, bed was super comfy and we even had a small lawn with a picnic table available to use. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Also, the walls are thick, so you won’t hear your neighbours snore… Can’t wait to go back and visit again."
