"This was the first stop on our trip thru Spain, embarking from Bilbao. Four sixty year olds looking for peace and quiet. We had driven through awesome mountain scenery and arrived at the hotel to be greeted by George (can't spell the Spanish version) who gave us a history of the area. "A small restaruant/bar hotel situated on a quiet road with Canga De Onis a 20 minute drive in one direction and Las Arenas a 10 minute drive in the other. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the rooms are cleaned daily. Bedrooms are comfy and simple, with no kettle or fridge. "We ended up with an 80 Euro parking fine because the staff didn't have enough sense to tell us how the parking lot in back of the hotel worked (what the rules were). For the sake of having parked 12 minutes "early" before 6 PM on Friday night, we ended up with an 80 Euro fine even though we moved our car by 9 AM and leave on Saturday, as we were instructed to do. Hotels should either provide guest parking, or else clearly instruct guests as to the necessary procedures."
