"This place is right in the middle of Portree. I loved the staff and the location. The only reason I give it a 4 star and not a 5 star is the room was very plain and ordinary. It is convenient to everything around there, and the breakfast in the morning was excellent."

"My Daughter and I stayed at Redwood house for 2 nights. we were in suite C4 with I believe is due to be renovated. It was clean and cozy. The staff/owner were very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant was fine, however, it did not in any way fit the description as advertised on the web sight. It might be beneficial to update the web sight."

"Rosedale offered a harbour view and was walkable to the main town centre. The room was quite small on a below grade room, some passerbys and cars looking onto the room. Be sure to ask for above grade. Also the bars were open quite late and lots of music hooting and hollering until 2 am. Breakfast was free and excellent. "

"Our room was small, but clean and perfect for two people. The room we had had a full size bed and two bunkbeds. It would be Extremely cozy with four people. Parking was available across the street. If that was full, the offsite parking was just a 5 to 8 minute walk back to your hotel."

"This is an older hotel that offers basic rooms, our one was on a smaller side, but everything was clean and comfortable. We did not have the opportunity to try their restaurant as it was fully booked the night we stayed but we really enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel is in a really good location within walking distance from the main shopping area, with several restaurants nearby. Please note there is no elevator in this hotel but they offered to help us carry our luggage upstairs to our room. "
