"The hotel is in a perfect location to get to easily from Arnhem Centraal station within 10-15 minute walk. Also very easy to walk around the city centre. Lots of shops and places to eat. Very easy to walk to the main bridge and the free to visit Airborne Bridge museum. 10-15 bus ride to the Airborne Museum Hartenstein as well. People very helpful and friendly. "

"The room was tiny, dirty and stuffy with no AC to help regulate the temperature. We had to pay extra for a bed that I would have assumed came with the room as I booked it for three people. Staff were often not around at the front desk to help, because they were short staffed. Machines in the games room, stopped working (although a discount was offered when this happened). Breakfast was okay. But the restaurant was overpriced and poor quality. We ordered Patas Braves and got and burnt plate...

"This hotel property is best described as "Past Due"...very past due. The rooms are very small with very old and very tired beds. Two beds means two very tiny one person (small person) bed with a memory matrass that long lost his memory with a paper thing blanket. One tiny towel but that wasn't a problem as the shower was to small to shower a adult person anyway. The included breakfast was (probably due to staffing problems) not worthy to be mentioned a breakfast. At 9 am there wasn't a lot left...

"Nice hotel in amazing location, surrounded by endless forests and cycle paths. The dining/breakfast area is the heart & soul of the hotel. Everything was fine, but the hotel is beginning to show its age and could do with a major revamp of the bedrooms. The room we stayed in was tody and clean, but old and with a funny (and awkward) lay-out. Would love to stay here again, but might just wait until the bedrooms are modernised...."

The village has a rich history, with many monuments. The former Dutch Reformed Church (now the Protestant Church, PKN) from the 14th century stands on a place already mentioned in a charter from 893 (known by a copy of Caesarius van Milendonk from 1222) under the goods of Prüm in the Eifel . The Prüm property was sold in 1609 by the States of Gelderland to Count Ernst Casimir of Nassau-Dietz. There was a copper mill on the border with Klarenbeek. In 1870 the village had 68 inhabitants.
