"This is a really nice hotel situated a 5 minute downhill walk from the train station and about ten minute slow walk from the centre of town. Staff were friendly, bedroom and all public areas were immaculately presented and its well situated for a twenty minute walk to the Feldschollsen brewery where you can go on a brewery tour. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends travelling through Basel as it is an easy 18minute train drive."

"I stayed during Art Basel and I liked its location as it was so easy to get to the fair (7 minutes by train and the station is right outside the hotel but hardly any noise). Staff members were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. One thing to point out is that I didn't see a safe in the room. I am definitely coming back to stay here next year. "Great basic accommodation. Everything you need is here as regards clean, maintained rooms, breakfast and easy access. It’s unusual that at no point is there any interaction with the staff here although contact is available if required. Check in is done via a computer in the entrance. My room was serviced during the day while I was out and a reasonable food selection is available for breakfast. There is even a free coffee machine. Other drinks are available via an honesty box.
