"Great hotel for a night before using Stansted Airport. Lovely welcome from the reception team. Very dog friendly. Good room, nice and spacious. Lots of hot water. The sofa bed was a little lumpy. Can't comment on breakfast as we departed before it opened. Would recommend for the price and would happily return. "

"Excellent from check in, (bit shocked at car parking cost.). Room, was clean (dusty on head board) sofa bed mattress very thin, son didn't sleep to well both nights, shower head.wouldnt sit straight but lovely shower. Room either cold or to hot, very chilli by window. Food was nice on the first night, 2nd night the curry was not so good, very small portions, rice very bland. Breakfast was fantastic, such a good selection.All staff were excellent, very attentive. We will definitely be back....

"Very welcoming ladies on reception both days of my stay. Breakfast was great and very good variety. Room was very comfortable, warm and well supplied (would have loved a bottle of water though!) Only thing personal to me was there wasn't any healthy dinner options but if I had the time I would have gone elsewhere for dinner. Would definitely stay here again"

"Arrived very late, flight delays and then a road closure forcing a substantial detour. Thankfully my room card had been left out with a useful note and I was able to access the room. It was cold, no curtains, and couldn't figure out the heating but the bed was warm and that was all I cared about! Shower okay in the morning, Job done. Thanks."

"Staff were friendly. Building was nice, but the room was not that comfortable. No fridge and the safe was broken. The worst thing was that the bed was a 6ft mattress but we only had a 5ft duvet, which didn’t cover two people in the bed. This meant we had a poor night’s sleep. "

"Easy checking in but only from 2pm to 6pm. Very comfy bed, warm room, tea and coffee facilities. Powerful shower. Handy location very close to train station. Pay and display car park behind pub however can only park from 2pm to 5am and then need to leave for an hr before return. Unfortunately room smelled of cigarette smoke. I’m not sure if people in room next door had been smoking and it was coming through bathroom vent or if there had been smoking in the room. Also there were hairs in the...
