"We needed to spend a night in Male for an early flight and this hotel (difficult to find) was just 5 minutes to the airport ferry station which operates from 05:30am. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and gave us a basic packed breakfast due to our early departure. Male itself is not an interesting place "

"Huvan Beach Hotel is right on the Hulhumale beach. There is an excellent restaurant called Red Snapper downstairs. It is close to grocery shopping stores like Red Wave and SJ Mall. However, the room was very small, and the window was facing a wall, limiting available sunlight into the room."

"Really liked our stay at Star Shell. The staff are excellent and super helpful. We were travelling with two young kids and honestly their service and friendliness really made our trip so much easier. We were always helped with our luggage without asking and with no expectation of a tip. I would highly recommend using theit airport service. "I stayed at the hotel 6 nights and I wished I stay more. The hotel is not really like in the pictures but this wasn't a problem for me. Because the people from the reception to the restaurant have made the difference. And the delicious food they cook,and the surrounding ... Overall,it was a very good and pleasant stay!"

"Not the best location, rooms were clean, room furniture was old - no handles, drawers glued shut. Breakfast was not the best and very cramped, nice helpful staff. Very small balcony with only room for one chair! Driver always there on time for transfers/trips. Area was dirty in places with lots of rubbish around, roads extremely busy in the evening. "

"The staff are the best part of this hotel. They were so pleasant and accommodating. Shout out to Rehman ( think spelling ok) for lovely service. The transfer service to the hotel for pick up and drop off was great. The property itself is what you pay for but we used this as a base to get to the airport easily instead of worrying about speedboats before a flight. Only thing I could improve is soap in the bathroom would be useful. "

Beautiful gardens with sea view

"Hotel very clean, nice sea view (the higher up you are the better the view) with beautiful gardens. Very close to beach and local restaurants. Staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was included and was pretty good with good coffee."

"The place needs Reno or improvements from kitchen sinks, kitchen, bathroom. Overall it’s ok. The host Rafiq, he is the best , worked hard and hoping the owner gives him a good bonus or increase salary, it seems he works 7 days a week 24 hrs.Rafiq you’re wonderful, helpful and good what you do. Thanks a milion"
