"The location is good. Staff are helpful. The washroom is a huge problem. No shower curtain or door. So the floor becomes wet and very inconvenient. No housekeeping the whole 4 days stay. So continuously living in filthy conditions. Had to take out our own garbage. Also because no housekeeping and no phone in room, had to keep going to the reception to ask for simple things like toilet papers and fresh towels. No fridge, had to use fridge at the reception. Won’t really recommend unless you are on...

"Incredibly unique property that used to be an old herb shop now tastefully refurbished into a boutique hotel. They kept all the old stuff from years past on display, and while it had modern amenities it still maintained that old charm. Highly recommend!"

"A great hotel! Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent facilities including rooftop pool and gym. Breakfast was very varied and plenty of it! It was great location for us just 4 minutes from the beach and some decent walks along the sea. Grab cabs were frequent and regular for the trips into George Town old district and very reasonable! "Overall 5 stars for value. This is a very spartan hotel, but we felt safe staying here and for the price I can't complain. Air conditioning worked great. Two elevators worked great. They made up the room every day. There were no hand towels or wash cloths, only bath towels. There was no hand soap, only a dispenser of soap in the shower. "Not so much a boutique hotel as a better-than-average cheapie. Many rooms are windowless (not unusual for Malaysia) and the place is basically a reasonably well kept low-rise guesthouse, part of the multi-year gentrifaction of central George Town. Good in terms of nearby eating options and walkability."

"A beautiful restored shophouse. Very welcoming staff and very clean common areas. The rooms can get a bit warm in the afternoon as part of the roof is covered in zinc and conducts heat directly into the room. Bed is located in the attic which can be a slight inconvenience but it adds to the overall charm of the place. Toilets are small and poky but still good enough for me. For the price, I would still recommend this place for those seeking something out of the ordinary. "
