"Staed one night. Greeted at reception by a lovely lady. Very informative and friendly. Room 14 was a bit dated and tired. Bed not that comfortable but huge ! Pillows ok but one too little and 2 too much. Did not sleep well. Could hear every noise from people next door. Paintwork throughout hotel could do with a refresh. Carpets very worn in places. Service and food in restaurant was very good even though they were busy."

"Stayed here for the night nefore my wedding with family n friends .my sons door didnt lock and reception wasnt bothered advertises they do breakfasts on the door but dont rooms and building very dated ordered travel cot got a single bed for 7month old wont be stopping again"

"The staff were very good and very helpful but the hotel needs a major overhaul on the outside and grounds our car was full of birds dropping this morning so it’s had to be cleaned to prevent any paint damage "

"A fantastic hotel, in an area of national historical importance. The service from everyone there is fantastic. It's a beautiful hotel where you can take a walk. You may think some areas need further maintenence but the cost maintaining Victorian Gothic style building is frankly very difficult and should get Government grants. It really is an incredible place absolutely steeped in legend and history. "

"Nice, centrally located and well equipped; also very clean and nice touches like milk on arrival. The studio is s bit dark as blinds don't open fully, and unfortunately sound proofing is not great so very noisy at night from very loud club nearby over the weekend."
