"The older gentlemen at reception was so nice and polite, very professional and helpful. The room was renovated, carpets new, doors new, bathroom fine, mattress very comfortable. The only criticism is that the duvet cover did not smell nice. It smelt like dog was sleeping there or dirty socks. I think it was to do with the way the linen was dried and stored but not sure. We reported to reception next day. "

"The B&B is run by two brothers who were very friendly and welcoming. The decor is very good and particulary liked the various quotes situated on the walls to the dining area. Our room had great views of the sea with an en-suite shower. However, it was a bit tight to get into along the bed (windowside). Breakfast is continental which was good, however, option for poached eggs, scrambled eggs would have been a preference if offered. Overall we had a nice stay there and it offered good value...

"Firstly this was my second stay and I was not offered a free room upgrade as they advertise for their rewards plan. Upon arrival we was checking in and the guy at the desk told us the keys are in the door, we went around to the small building and there was no keys, the maintenance man (who was very nice) had to come and climb into the window, whilst he was doing this we realised the bench at the front of the cabin was completely disintegrating. "This lovely hotel is well positioned for a stay in St Ives. It’s out of the town which makes parking and travelling around very easy. You can catch a bus or taxi to the centre easily. The restaurant could be improved - if you had a great chef in the hotel - this place would be awesome. At the moment it’s pretty hard to get cooked toast with your poached eggs at breakfast. The staff too are pretty changeable some are fantastic - others one guy in particular, tired and in need of a holiday...
