"We booked a twin room as my friend and I were staying for the marathon. We were given a room with a 3/4 bed against a wall which was unsuitable. We were offered the chance of one of us going to another hotel which was not suitable. In the end we had a single mattress on the floor, which worked but not ideal. No offer of a reduced rate for the room."

Sow Dale, Old Bolingbroke There is a very small walk through the Nature Reserve in Sow Dale. It used to extend through to here https://www.geograph.org.uk/browse.php?p=330460 but now there is a restricted area in the middle, which is a shame as it was a really nice walk with the option to carry on to Hagworthingham and beyond. The shot is taken looking towards Highfield Farm, which stands above Old Bolingbroke, at the edge of The Wolds. The photograph was taken with the camera held high above my head, to get above the weeds growing up the slope in front of me. Note – Sow Dale is steep walk and you are likely to get chased by cows, as did I. There is a notice warning of a bull with cows, but they were nowhere to be seen, though there are places where the animals can be hidden from view. What is not mentioned is that there are calves as well and I was trapped between both and had to hot leg it into a very marshy area and got stuck there. I was unable to get back to the entrance to the Reserve and had to climb back in the opposite direction and find another way out.
