"Stayed for two nights DDB all the staff were friendly and helpful. The Room was clean and comfortable. Nice size shower, could have done with a shower mat in the shower. The room was a nice size and was neve cold always a nice temperature. Nice touch with the fresh milk kept in a little fridge on the landing for your teas and coffee. Will definitely stay again "

"Food was great worth the price! Whole team were fantastic from check in to check out. Accomodated us with a bigger room on the 1st before check in as we were booked in on the ground floor in needs with easy access room. really appreciated the care and attention to detail will be staying there again! "The property was lovely. Wasn’t keen on check in, no clear indication on where to go / what to do and was standing around puzzled with no staff in sight for a brief time. Bed and pillows was very uncomfy. Black marks on pillow case and dog biscuits on bedroom floor. "

"A convenient place to stay, just a short walk from the train station. The room was nicely decorated and although advertised as cosy, it was fairly spacious. The bed was comfortable and more than sufficient amenities for a few nights stay. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner and the shower wasn’t very hot or powerful. Great food in the pub downstairs from a varied menu. "

"A beautiful clean and central to everything b@b. Brilliant hist and fantastic breakfast. Could not ask for anything better. Parking in a secure car park 2 min walk away. You can park outside the Melrose for an hour with a parking disc from any shop or the b@b. In all we would highly recommend The Melrose."
