"Great location, nice pub, great location welcoming and helpful staff, room quality was “ok” but decor was tired, chips, damage and dings, it looks like it could do at least with heavy duty decor maintenance or a revamp to be honest. Loud noises from the bins being emptied at 7am lost the “quiet” rating for us. "

"Staff were fanastatic polite ans courteous. Very nice well kept hotel. A real shame that the service didnt finish on a high, last morning 1-forgot our breakfast order 2-breakfast arrived with burnt/cindered bacon 3-as it was New Years day and close to the end id breakfast service, we didnt point out the obvious, we left the bacon and ate the rest, i said to the server it should not have been put on the plate. And an apology would have sufficed. She said sorry. Little things matter, ignorance...

"Visiting family before new year. Lovely single room with small en-suite but perfect for me. Everything I needed was available but in the kitchen, required more utensils for cooking. I got takeaway and used what I could, no problem with bowls/plates and kitchen appliances. Great spacious clean kitchen. Lovely place to stay, recommend. "

"I stayed here recently on a short break in Lincoln. It’s well located in a quiet area very near the castle. The staff were absolutely lovely - friendly and helpful. Stokes cafe and a great tapas restaurant are just across the courtyard and there’s a large pay and display car park behind the hotel if you drive. The hotel is very attractive and is gradually getting investment. My room was one that has already been renovated and was of a great standard. My only criticism would be that the mattress...

"This was a short overnight stay. The hotel is very clean with ground floor being a large public bar with new function suite and Indian food offer to rear. Theres a fair sized old fashioned restaurant too. Rooms are clean and well maintained, lovely full English breakfast served quickly . Very polite owner and staff - all in all good value"
