"The public areas are lovely - the space in front of the mansion, the breakfast/restaurant room with amazing views over the lake. It has lots of history, and the lobby is typically Swedish in its effortless cool. The room was a little less impressive. For the cost it was basically two adjoining conference rooms with very little in the way of comfort, and a very small, disappointingly dated bathroom. "Spa and restaurant were both closed the Friday evening that we spent here, which was disappointing. Instead, we visited a couple breweries in the area. The receptionist was wonderful and very helpful! The hotel itself was clean and had a cool forest theme inside. Would recommend for a spa getaway, but not the most ideal accommodation to check out downtown Gothenburg."

"Remote, but nice place if you want to explore the countryside and lake. Very nice property. Staff was helpful, but often difficult to find. For the first three hours of our checkin there was some extremely loud and heavy machine construction right outside our room and the workers could look into our window. We were excited that there was sauna on the property, but were told on checkin that it would be an additional 250 SEK (about $25) per person, which is not worth it. We had an early departure...

"Thorskog slott og hagen rundt er en flott opplevelse, uansett årstid. Romslige rom, og nydelig mat. Eneste som drar ned er nedslitte bad (i sidebygning), og at vi var uheldig med servering under middag. Ansatt var kanskje ny? Maten var utrolig god. før avreise fikk vi en kort, impulsiv innføring av slottshistorien - av en flott positiv mann. Dette satte vi stor pris på."

"The entrance & lifts looks dirty and dated, but the hotel rooms/reception are acutely 3star standard. Microwave in my room and plenty of food shops and restaurants provide food options. "
