"Really helpful we checked in really early tired from the train and were helped with every request by all staff. We looked at other hotels when we stayed in Lau Cai and were glad we stayed here. Lau Cai is a fascinating place with the Chinese Border and the Red River. a couple of days is a good rest here. I had to change plans often and The Lady Manager helped me with Facebook messages in English changing dates and arranging a cheap transfer to Sapa."

"Wrong address pinned on Hotels.com. Though it says 24hr frontdesk service available, we arrived at the lobby at 4am, door was lock, the lights were off. We had to call the number pasted on the door, only to be answered by a sleepy man who can't speak English and we waited in the cold - 4 degrees Celsius - for 15 mins before they come and answer the door. "At check in, they kept insisting we have not paid for our room!, we had to show her our cc statement that it’s paid for. They won’t give us a room with a view, even though we were the only people staying there. We had to keep our curtains closed throughout as it was directly to an open top of the next building. At checkout, we were asked to pay for our room again! On our insistence, they let us go, as I said’ we paid for our room when we booked! Nice hotel, but the insisting that we have not...

"This place was an absolutely amazing choice to stay in Sapa. We had to walk up some pretty hectic hills to get there but the views from the homestay were absolutely worth it and after all the good food we ate the exercise was proabably needed! "No service, no information, we went to get breakfast 9:15 but apparently breakfast ended at 9am we were not informed of this. We took the free bottles of water from the room, and they tried to charge us for them, because they were cold(we put them in the fridge) There was a hole in the bathroom door. The douche/bidet/hose was leaking, so the bathroom floor was flooded all the time. No one can speak any English, so communication is via translator apps "

"This place was an absolutely amazing choice to stay in Sapa. We had to walk up some pretty hectic hills to get there but the views from the homestay were absolutely worth it and after all the good food we ate the exercise was proabably needed! You could get a cab or bike up the hills if required. Amazing customer service, the staff are so incredibly friendly, and they cook some pretty great food as well. The cabin we stayed in was perfect, it was quaint and comfortable, very cosy. Despite there being no heating there was heated blankets we could use and a heater provided. The hot water system was also amazing compared to many we have experienced in Asia. They also had dogs (one had puppies whilst we were there!) and cats, the best breakfast companions. We would definitely recommend this place for others to stay whilst in Sapa and we hope to come back!"
