"IT IS A BUMPY 35-40 GOLF CART RIDE TO THE RESORT FROM IN TOWN. BUT HAVING BEEN TO TOWN A FEW TIMES, I REALLY TRULY DID ENJOY THE FACT WE WERE FURTHER AWAY. IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU WANT, I LIKE THE FACT THAT AT THE 2 POOLS THERE WAS ALWAYS A CHAIR, AND ON THE BEACH THERE WAS ALWAYS A CHAIR. THERE WERE NO YA HOOS AROUND NO POWER DRINKERS, IT WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT A RELAXING VACATION. IF YOU WANT CHAOS THEN PLEASE STAY CLOSER TO TOWN. ALEC WAS A GREAT BARTENDER AS WAS THE EVER BEAUTIFUL SHEILA!...

"The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The property is well maintained. Food choices could use an upgrade but considering their location that may be difficult. "

"Ed.and Lynn are gracious hosts, who operate this cool little property that's somewhat off the beaten track, and off the grid. And that is both the good and not so good. If you take this property for what it is it is great. Ed and Lynn operate these cabanas with a loving hand. The cabanas are smallish, but up- to-date, clean and neat, and comfortable. The feel is very much like a well above average maintained motel suite. Their on site convenience store carries all the basics you might need...

"Excellent hospitality. The staff was so generous and welcoming. I even stayed longer because I loved the place and the Welcoming people ! Excellent location too ! Staff helped with everything I needed and was a very cozy and enjoyable stay."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Mangata Villas. It’s clean, quiet, private and in a gorgeous location. The owners are on site and very attentive—any question, concern or issue we had was resolved quickly and efficiently. They reserved us our golf cart rental and met us there when we arrived. The resort is beautiful, the food and drinks are super yummy, and the beach is clean and user friendly. We will definitely come back!"

"The personal touch that you get from the couple that owns the place. So friendly and caring they have every thing taken care of , breakfast is A at night you feel safe it’s so Quiet location never rushed every recommendation they give highly recommend would definitely return"

"The property is wonderful! The location was perfect for us, it is 10 miles north of town so it was quiet and intimate. The staff was AMAZING! I cannot say enough how fabulous every single person (staff) there was. The food at the bar was so fresh and delicious, we have been home for one day and miss it badly. If you are looking for a friendly, clean, relaxing place to stay, this is it."

"The water from the well smells really bad. Makes the entire house stink. When you shower in the water, you stink. The odor permeates everything. Unless they address the water / well issue. I couldnt stay there again."

"We didn’t like it that we had to go through the owners living quarters and we don’t do well with pets inside. We just didn’t like the dog hair and smell in the eating area. This will keep us from going back. Owner was really friendly though."

"Tranquility Bay Resort is the perfect place to get away and enjoy Belize. Our house was literally right in the beach. Snorkeling and swimming are musts. The food is excellent especially the breakfast. The staff was gracious and professional. The owners were amazing. Thank you Tranquilty Bay!"
