"We had a lovely stay at Casa de Vista Alta in Mindo. It's a gorgeous property in a stunning location, high up on a hill, surrounded by a bird-filled cloud forest. "I enjoyed a two night stay here after traveling from Quito. We arrived late at night and they were very accommodating. I enjoyed the charm and greenery of this place. Sara was friendly and provided us with a delicious homemade breakfast in outside in their garden. I highly recommend this place. "

"Many details in the landscaping, architecture of the buildings, and evidence of care given over the years to the upkeep of all buildings. A real pleasure to stay at such a well-presented property. Many bird varieties are seen from the veranda, and there are other fauna on the 320 hectare reserve."

"I honestly choose a resort, but I accidentally choose this area. However, I would recommend for those who are low budget travelers but who are willing to take a break and rest in their amazing hot springs. They do have hiking trail, but it is the best not to go in the midst of rain. You will slip and get yourself all muddy. I learn that that hard way. "Incredible. Such a wonderful place to stay in the Mindo area. Really tucked away in the forest but only a 20-25min walk or $3 cab to the town. We stayed in the upper level of the lodge which was wonderfully positioned to watch the birds. Excellent service really recommend. "

"Great location and big room. Overall a great stay. Things to improve: yacuzzi takes a very long time to fill and you have to ring a bell every time you want back into the hotel. "

"This place is really, really remote. You eat what they have, you do what they offer, etc. No roaming about looking for restaurants, shops, etc. Power issues meant no internet most of the time and I had to pay cash ($1500) for the stay and the spa treatments. Staff is perfect and brought tea to my room when i felt ill. Swimming pool and view is amazing "

"El lugar es bonito, tranquilo limpio y con bonitas áreas, sin embargo, si se encuentra bastante lejos del parque de mindo, para salir del lugar el camino no es bueno tiene bastantes huecos y es de tierra por lo que al ir con carro bajo complica un poco entrar y salir con facilidad. No nos realizaron la limpieza de la habitación, por que no entregamos las llaves pero nadie nos avisó aquello y al llegar esperábamos encontrar limpio y no fue asi. The views from the veranda (and balconies) are spectacular. The staff at the Casa were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed hanging out with the Casa's dog, Kyova. We spent one night in a room in the main house and the other night in a cabin. Breakfast was very tasty. We also ate dinner once at the main house -- tasty trout on the spacious veranda. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning."
