"The staff was wonderful, as was the restaurant food and the facilities. Of all the locations at which my wife and I stayed during three weeks in Europe, the Dom Jose was the cleanest and most comfortable. Rui, who worked the front desk, was great, as were all of the staff. The only complaint was that there was no on-site parking, which meant paid parking near the beach or parking a distance from the hotel. Otherwise, we'd visit again."

"Lovely receptionist, very helpful. Hotel location is excellent. Many options to eat, and for groceries, Auchan, city market are close. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is that the bath towels and the walls are quite thin. We could hear the guy next door yawning! It was a loud yawn, but still. We could hear them talk, too. Water pressure in the shower was weak. We were on the 5th floor, so maybe that’s why. Overall, good stay."

The carpeting outside our room needs to be cleaned or replaced. It had dog poo stains and a larger stain that may have been coffee. The location is in a shopping mall so it was very convenient to get snacks. The room had a refrigerator, but no microwave or freezer compartment. The area is walkable. The parking is under ground...
