"Really nice hotel and in a great location just 45 mins from Calais. The room was great and overlooked fields and had a really nice balcony. Dinner was great and the wine choices were good too. The pool was amazing, just what was needed after a long drive. Everything was extremely clean and very well looked after. Lovely stay"

"Very poor, booked on the basis of 8 out of 10 rating but honestly not sure who posted these reviews. Booked a second night for the following week ( non refundable) and couldn't bring myself to return so booked a different hotel meaning more than double the cost. No water in the shower, no food and damp bedding. Service was poor and I was made to feel unwelcome. Stayed at the Ibis budget and felt like a rock star compared to this place. Avoid like the plague."

"Booked this as a stopover on the way back to UK from Italy and boy did we fall lucky. We stayed in a lodge in the grounds and it was comfortable, clean and larger than we expected. However the highlight of our trip was the main building where there is a lovely bar with great staff and the outstanding restaurant. "We were delighted witht the whole experience. The hotel has been beautifully referbished (some rooms still being worked on. Our reception was friendly and professional, our room lovely, the evening meal, a mixture of classic cooking with a modern twist, delicious. Breakfast was great too. A young family have recently taken over the hotel, and we could see they are going to make a great success of it. Every one was friendly and helpful, making the whole stay so enjoyable. "It was not verybeasy to find at first and we were unsure about the parking. However once we arrived and were reassured that road side parking was free, we felt more relaxed. The staff were very friendly, and we managed to communicate in broken English. The rooms are spacious only downside was the free internet which did not connect very well. BreKfast was good, selection of various continental foods. We would definitely stay again (perfect for just one night)"
