"The hotel from hell. They say check-in is from 4pm which is already quite late, but don’t expect to get your room key until 6pm. Chaotic queues at check-in and it took people several hours before they got their room keys. Apart from that the hotel is run-down, tired and untidy. Certainly not worth the price. In the end we didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Fortunately it was only a one night stay. We were only too happy to move on in the morning."

"We stayed at Hotel Alvanche in Sauze D’Oulx for our honeymoon, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious, with a lovely balcony offering stunning views. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, with a great variety of food to suit all tastes. "Although not particularly close to restaurants the location worked really well for us. The accommodation we were in (1bed family/sleep6) was slightly smaller than the ones in the photos but ideal for 2 adults and 2 teenagers prepared to use a bunk bed in a room that was not technically a bedroom, probably due to it’s size, but worked well for us. "Great property in a quaint French town. The staff was great and extremely helpful! Parking is a little way from the hotel, but not too bad. The hotel is a bit difficult to find (don’t use Google Maps), but people we very helpful. We would stay there again for sure!! "

"Hotel was great location, parking was full but big car park down the hill, only complaint was that they should not charge to use spa after 10am that’s naughty as you want it after the slopes"

"Bugs and cockroaches in the room. Amazing reaction from the front desk: What do you expect, this is normal in a mountain area!!! Otherwise, rooms are mediocre, old, small and overpriced. Definitely not a 3 stars, barely an overpriced one star hotel."
