"Right at the beach, the Orni appartments are clean, and a bit away from the crazy cities dotting the Costa Brava. The host is friendly, and the rooms were clean and nice. Air conditioning was working properly, which we very much appreciated because the environment can be pretty humid. "Plus - clean and bedroom/bathroom immaculate. Fridge /kettle. Good shower. Close to shops/restaurant. Good checking/out times. Parking on street and area safe. Close to beach. Not so good - late breakfast 09:15 Pay for private parking. Area itself is quiet. "

Consequence of this is there is very little in the way of shops etc in the village"

"La Grancha is a hotel in rural La Fresneda. The owners are lovely and welcoming. They speak little English so take a phrase book. The menu is in Spanish, we got help in translating from a fellow guest. The hotel is wonderfully rustic in this beautiful village."
