"Oldschool no frills hotel. Had the basics and was all we needed for a weekend away. Lacks the modern touch that other hotels have but that is reflected in the price. Very good value for money. Parking on site is a plus. The reception guy was very welcoming and efficient. And the hotels in a good location for a short walk to the centre and theatre. Would definitely recommend for a budget stay. "

"I decided, very last minute, to use a hotel as we were celebrating a friend's birthday nearby. I had been given a room on the top floor, but there wasn't a lift and I have a knee problem, so I was swiftly swapped to a ground floor room. The room was excellent value for money. Even though the hotel is only rated 3*, it had an iron and ironing board, tea and coffee, a TV, a safe, free wi-fi, laundry service, and a gorgeously comfortable bed. It was also a nicely quiet room with an excellent level...

"Great stay, very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable room. Secure well kept site, nice looking English Manor house property - lovely grounds. Secluded, peaceful, edge of village, a stone's throw from Bedford and only a mile off the A6. Would definitely recommend, and I'd stay there again (always the best review in my opinion!)"

"It’s an old building and tired in places. The floors are uneven and floors creek, but rooms were clean and beds were comfy. It’s what I expected for the price. Great location to the village and friendly staff. "

"Good cheap hotel. A bit tired looking in places but clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking, good WiFi, usual tea/coffee/ biscuits which were topped up every day, friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom with a walk in shower which I much prefer to a bath. The only issue for me was there was no desk/table to work at but laptops are called laptops for a reason! Room was cleaned and bed made up for me every day which a lot of hotels don’t do these days."
