"We booked this pub/hotel for a two night stay due to going to a wedding at Hallington Mill a venue approximately 15mins drive away. Arriving on a Friday afternoon we received a lovely friendly welcome and had a evening meal on our first night. We stayed in room 7 a fantastic large bathroom which look brand new. Every member of staff we had dealings with very friendly and helpful. "

"Traditional village inn run by the community. Food and drink prices very reasonable. Room was clean and comfortable. Noise from bar below stops around 10 pm so wasn't an issue. "

Clearly run by someone who wants to provide excellent service. If I visit the area again this is the first hotel I will try to book. "

"Made to feel very welcome from the point of checkin, a wonderful warm welcome from the huge fire as well, we stayed in the gatehouse room , which is absolutely beautiful, and huge , very comfortable room, comfortable bed, and a huge shower, the room was lovely and warm.
