"We were looking for a hotel for an overnight stay in Pisa before going on to Venice and what a find Hotel Maria was! A lovely little characterful place within metres of the railway station. The staff were very friendly & helpful, the room a decent size & the surrounding area surprisingly quiet. I would definitely book again."

"The hotel is very convenient for the station and the main sights are walkable from it. If you have a room on the road side there is a fair amount of noise. It is comfortable and everything is very clean. Our shower worked well but I found it impossible to stop it spraying on to the bathroom floor. The breakfast is continental but with a fair range. Overall it's good value for money. "

"What we liked most was the excellent location. After long days on our feet the train dropped us almost at the front door. Rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful time of rest there. I would recommended it to anyone who wants to see Florence and Pisa and only want to stay in one place."

"The overall experience was very pleasant, a lovely place to stay and surrounding area was nice with places to eat and a little supermarket 1 minute away. The only thing initially was when checking in there was only a woman that spoke Italian so was a bit confusing for me but she still gave me the key for the room etc...a little afterwards another woman was there that could speak English and the payment was sorted out. This wasn't a big deal to me but could be for others. Would definitely stay...
