"Great old style building and very convenietly located for riding the cable cars around town. There were also some great options close by for drinks and eats. My only conplaint was that the breakfast was a bit lacking. "

"The lobby is great with lots of areas for sitting, including near an electric fireplace. Also, on the first floor there is a fitness room with treadmills x 2, bicycles x 2, etc, a small pool, a restaurant. Favorite parts about the hotel: Large room, bathroom with large counter space, refrigerator mini and microwave in room on a large counter, LOCATION. The hotel location is great for the Bay Area in that there’s a free Emeryville shuttle called Emery-Go-Round which stops right outside hotel and...

"The hotel was fine, handy to Union square, cable car and shops. Room was dark and window exterior really grubby. Lifts were slow and can slither down stairs if happy to do so, but not well lit at all. Protestors for Marriott and Westin I know were outside hotels control but were on both opp corners to us and with single glazed windows, we were awake at 6am with drums and chanting all day - been ongoing we hear for months. "

"Nice hotel in great location. We were able to walk to all of the area around fisherman’s wharf. We even had a reasonably good free breakfast. Room was very comfortable and clean."

"The good of Hotel Focus was the ease to the airport, the monetary aspects and, of course, the quiet feel of the property. The bad. Parking is an issue. Never seemed to be enough parking spots close to the door. The ugly is most of the surrounding neighborhood being on the edge of an industrial park. It looks kinda sketchy, but wasn't. Nice place to stay either for the night or for a couple of weeks."
