"A true gem! Rooms are on the small side but absolutely comfortable and tasteful. Newly renovated with quality materials. The bathroom was spotless, a very nice size, shower with both oversized and handheld shower heads. Climate control was great: so quiet you could not hear the AC was on! Rooms are quiet and matress so comfortble that I overslept and missed breakfast! However, they insisted on offering me some coffee or juice. Very nice staff. Free parking on premises. Will definitely be back if...

"I had a great staying at Hotel Santo Stefano. The staff is absolutely wonderful; I travelled by public transport and they came to pick me up and take me back to the bus stop. The rooms are very spacious and confortable. The hotel has got a restaurant which is very handy when you have spent a day at the Archive and you are too tired to go out. "This hotel was fine for what we needed it for: a place to crash overnight before getting a train to Florence. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom well equipped. Staff could have been more pleasant, there were almost no dining options we could access without a car, and the breakfast was below average compared to what we had at other hotels in Italy."

"Our host Francesco was wonderful. Showed us our room in a restored 1840s building in their vineyard, and explained local things to see and do. The spacious rooom had log ceilings and a four poster bed. Had a free breakfast at Francesco's mothers cafe just around the corner. Early in the season so the pool wasn't open yet. Fantastic place to stay. Make sure you contact Francesco by phone before you arrive so he can meet you at checkin. His # is in the check in instructions. "
