"If this hotel could be moved closer to the town centre then it would be 5 star. Unfortunately the road into town, which cuts through an industrial area, does not have a footpath and you have to walk in the road, ok in daylight but very unsafe at night. That is the only fault we found with this hotel, yes, we understand it’s not there fault but?????"

"The Upstairs hotel was a very stylish and fun hotel just steps from the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful! One small point is if you do book one of the small/cheap rooms, they aren't easily accessible via the lifts. You will need to go down a couple of flights of stairs which can be tough with heavy luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ostend!"

"Great hotel and super situation for the best part of the beach and close to great local bars and nightlife and super restaurants very close including a Mexican 2 minutes away ,all the staff from the man who allowed us to leave our bags in extra early to the friendly girl who let us check in really early ,the bar staff and breakfast staff were also really friendly and the food for breakfast was generous and very tasty and covered many tastes . We had a wonderful few days and want to go back soon...

Initially I parked on street using the English language enabled parking meter and card payment. I then used the hotel car park, which was quite expensive, for our two day stay. I later learned that there was a long stay car park near by which would have been cheaper. Breakfast was available until 10am in the hotel, but seemed rather...
