"The location is perfect for getting around town, there’s a bus right in front of the hotel, the rooms have everything you need minus a microwave, but there is one on the 7 floor for use. Room cleaning is every 3 days. Overall no issues"

The location is brilliant although it is about a 15-20 minute walk to one of the two close by train stations. I would strongly recommend this hotel for the view! "

"It’s a quiet place that will give you somewhere to rest with great wifi. It’s walking distance from Tarui station, the beach, and the mall. The staff know English as well. If you want a location to rest that won’t break your bank this is a good option. "

"The staff were very kind and looked after my luggage as I arrived in Wakayama early. The hotel is very close to Wakayamashi station and easy to find. It is also close to the castle and other tourist attractions. Breakfast was very good, and the hotel has rental bicycles which were only 100 Yen which was cheap and convenient. The hotel seems like it needs to be updated as it looks a bit old in places, however it was very clean. It was very good value."

"I had a great stay; however, the decor leaves much to be desired. I have stayed at hostels with better decor. The room looked very tired and outdated. The tiles in the bathroom need new grout. The bedspread had a hole in it as if a previous guest had burnt it. "

"Really lovely ryokan and onsen with beautiful ocean views. The futons were very comfortable, as well. It's a little outside of Wakayama city (about 30 minutes/¥3500 by taxi), but there is a nearby bus and they have a parking area if you are driving. The staff speaks a little English, but don't expect the same level of English that you might get at a larger, urban hotel. Overall, it was very relaxing and I would definitely recommend it."

"I didn’t really like having to leave my shoes at the front and use public slippers, the bathroom was useful but a bit cramped and the cooler/heater was hard to get the right temperature in the room. But I really liked the hot tub onsen and the staff were mostly friendly. "
