"The food at The Walnut Tree is excellent as is the service and the staff. The hotel is showing its age a bit in the bedroom but it was nonetheless very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room and the water in the bathroom were both very warm. The restaurant is worth a visit even if you’re not staying overnight. "

The moving wrap around advert in the bar and restaurant isn’t nice at all and ruins the environment. The staff were lovely and it wasn’t clear that the parking would be an additional cost. "

Reception was welcoming and after hearing about a bad night at a national chain the night before they promptly sorted an upgrade of room for us - so kind. "Just needed an overnight stay before an early morning appointment at Musgrove Park Hospital. This was a beautifully kept property, and so convenient for both the Hospital and for Taunton town centre. I am in a wheelchair, and although there was not a wheelchair accessible room available (it had already been booked), the staff found me a wonderful ground floor room that was totally suitable for my needs.
