"Check in easy. I booked a disabled room, which was on the 1st floor. Very sparse room, but I guess that’s intentional for ease of movement. Bed comfortable. Bathroom though was an issue. The shower head rail bracket was broken and bodged with silicone. It would not stay high for a shower. The curtain was next to useless and water flooded the room. Breakfast was lovely though. Good staff working. Hot items of good quality. Good selection of pastries, cereals, etc. "

"I read previous reviews of this property and believe that they are, at least inaccurate but many were completely misleading. Our stay was comfortable, staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout. The Buffet Breakfast was of a good standard and the young lady serving it was also polite and helpful. Whoever put the review regarding Asylum Seekers is obviously unaware of Sheffield’s multi-cultural community. On further trips to Sheffield, my family and I will definitely avail ourselves...

"Two nights stop over, needing some place cheap. One of the cheapest rooms in Sheffield for a weekend so you get a small bed in a small room. Room was warm and clean although a bit dated. Shower is directly off the room, no separate changing area. Air con/heater was a bit noisy even when turned off. But for the price, saved over a hundred pounds compared to other budget chains, no real complaints. "

"The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk from the train station which is very handy for those who don't want to stay in Manchester city centre. It's lovely and quiet. "Just awful 😞 a large empty car park except for one car and a smashed glass bar door covered up with a piece of plywood greeted you when you drove in. It spoke volumes really. We checked in which was pleasant enough by a helpful young man, and checked out again 5 minutes later. Not a good sign when the cleaning team were still cleaning the bedrooms at 4.30pm. But the main thing was the overwhelming smell of the corridors and the rooms was enough to make your eyes water and you could still smell...

"I like this hotel for its convenience to the university of Sheffield and to down town. It is an older hotel, so also has lots of character which I also like. The only downside I would say is the cost of parking. These costs should clearly be included on the booking website as it is an unwelcome surprise when you book a place and find that you have a much higher bill than anticipated."
