"This is a very basic Riad located in an excellent location just on the edge of the Medina. It had everything you need from a comfortable bed, hot shower, reliable wifi and good breakfast but the photo really gives a false impression of the condition of the place. The French speaking staff member was helpful and there was a man who spoke English when we arrived who explained how to enter and lock up. Bring your own toiletries as none were provided. "

Moreover, considering the room is small and overcrowded, there is nothing that justify the experience. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone." "

"Omar was very good host, property was well maintained. Very clean. Water was hot for bath. Private clean bathrooms. dinner & breakfast was delicious. 5 star property. Omar was very responsive to messages which was important when traveling to new country. He was flexible with check in & check out time. He helped with camel ride & sand boarding. "Fabulous desert location with included live music and dancing with Touareg. Parking off site, and please do take the 1 1/2 hr camel ride to the camp: it is breathtaking (especially when aiming to arrive 1-2 hours before sundown in the camp). Staff is very capable and welcoming. "

"Fantastic property with very friendly staff. We decided to stay here instead of a ‘luxury desert camp’ because there were so many with similar names. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast by Ismail was varied and tasty. The hotel also arranges camel and quad bikes for the lowest prices we could find so we didn’t haggle. Its best to book these activities though the hotel for a hassle free experience as these activities are next to the hotel. Thanks for an amazing stay. "

"The photos are simply untrue. The camp is in poor condition - broken chairs & lanterns; blankets thrown about; garbage strewn here & there. There is only one outlet in each tent and electricity was not always available. We had less than five minutes of hot water over 48 hours. Often one teenager was the only staff on site, and we had to communicate using Google translate, as the adults simply were not around. "We hung around a pool all day, took a sunset camel ride to a secluded desert camp, had a beautiful dinner and show, slept under the stars, then went sandboarding in the morning- a wonderful time. Only downside was the 114F heat, which made it a bit hot to sleep in the tent. Well worth the trip to Merzouga."
