"Room is massive. We walked in thinking it was going to be a small room but it’s really big, very spacious. The bed is unbelievably comfy. Recommend the stay as it’s a one minute walk from town centre. Service is very good and people there are lovely. "

"I have stayed at The Fleece mutiple times over the years. It is exactly what a non UK resident would expect. A charming, beamed, English Pub with a pretty good restaurant but with the added benefit of being able to walk into town. There are rooms in the pub above the bar/restaurant and rooms located in a converted barn located in the courtyard. The rooms are spacious and equipped with the basics. The Fleece has broken with English tradition and have showers that actually work and are larger than...

"The hotel is really nice, but the people working there are AMAZING. The two girls at the reception were so lovely and helpful (I think one was called Kelsey, sorry! I’m terrible with names). Check in and check out on point and when we asked for some towels we got them in minutes. I recommend this place without any doubt. "

"Very convenient for our trip to the local hospital and very reasonable price including breakfast. A warm welcome at reception on check-in. Nice large room with comfortable big bed. You can open the windows to let in fresh air - not always possible these days at some hotels. We loved that it was over the pub/restaurant (a good menu plus specials and what we had was cooked really well) yet the pub couldn’t be heard from the room. Breakfast had a good selection of cereals etc and cooked options....

"We had a very nicely renovated large room on the second floor of the main building, looking out onto the pedestrian High Street. A little noise from the party-goers, but got to sleep fine. Buffet breakfast was plentiful but nothing special, ie bacon overdone, cheap sausages and weak filtered coffee but nice croissant and pastries."

"Lovely hotel, staff and the rooms are decorated very well. Only downfall was the breakfast…the restaurant when I came down at 8:30am was a mess, barely a clean table, almost every table had plates with left over food…. The breakfast itself I am sure was precious days food warmed up. This is shame as I’ve had lunch there before and it was really good…. Perhaps there was a staffing issue, I don’t know. I’d still come back, however fresh breakfast next time please. "
