"Pousada do arcanjo is a gem! This beautiful colonial hotel is conveniently located near the historic section of Ouro Preto. The staff wear period costumes which is such a fun touch. They are super friendly and helpful. The cuisine in Minas Gerais is said to be the best in Brazil and the hotel’s full Brazilian breakfast (café colonial) is a shining example. There’s a lovely afternoon tea as well! My room was very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again! "

"The Pousada Brasil is a 6-7 minute walk to the main town square, and the owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. As with many pousadas, the hotel is a very traditional building with a little balcony, nice windows with shutters. "O hotel é muito gostoso no geral, porém algumas instalações precisam de um capricho e cuidado a mais. A piscina coberta é bem gostosa, porém alguns azulejos do fundo estão quebrados, inclusive cortei meu dedo em um deles. As luzes da piscina aquecida e da academia não acendem antes de escurecer, ficando muito escuro para ir ap banheiro e na academia. A quadra de tenis está precisando de uma boa manutenção, esqueceram ela “lá em baixo”. Cheguei com minha esposa e 2 crianças, e no ckeck in não...

"Good location, beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast is good but dinner mediocre. Had reservation for 3 nights but had to cancel the last one due to flight changes. Hotel staff (that only spoke Portuguese) claimed that that had to be approved by Expedia. Contacted Expedia who said that they had to ask the hotel (Catch 22?). After several conversations with both of them I managed to get a small discount that was far inferior to the cost of one night. Will not use Expedia again."
