We only stayed one night as we were attending a funeral so only used it once and we were in a hurry. At checkout, I mentioned that the shower needed attention as the water was barely flowing and that it was either scalding hot or ice cold. My cousin had ended up washing her hair in the sink. The...

"The strength of this hotel is the lovely staff, from the reception to the breakfast staff they were all friendly, helpful and professional. Our rooms were also clean and breakfast well cooked. "

"Hotel was well decorated in the main areas - looking fairly newly redone. The service was good. The only issue is the quality of the breakfast buffet is terrible - i mean really terrible. We arrived at breakfast around 9.30 - the eggs were like rubber, sausages the cheapest you can buy, bacon like rubber, instant coffee only. The toast was the highlight, which speaks volumes. Otherwise a great stay."

"Absolutely lovely place. Rooms were great.Beautiful surroundings.Only down side was that we arrived at 1pm, check in was 3pm.Had planned to go to The White Hart Inn, for lunch and drinks,only to arrive there and be told, due to winter staffing, they were not opening until 5pm. I suggested that maybe having a sign on the road advertising that they were open from 8am, should be removed/ amended."

"Lovely hotel although very dated in places but very charming. Some areas need attention but nothing to spoil our stay. The pool and spa are at an extra cost if you’re not staying half board and there is also a charge for the lockers, not what we would have expected. "
