"I found the facilities fine and my room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with more than enough tea, coffee etc., available. The meal I had was good and well presented. It's well situated in the middle of the square with plenty of parking though you are on a time limit but parking is available at the rear of the hotel next door and is available for you to use if you wish it. There is also a quiet beer garden at the back."

"Lovely charming pub with much history. Recently refurbished rooms were very nice, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of refreshments in room plus daily water. Pub food was lovely and normal pub prices. Breakfast was also lovely and the staff very welcoming. Our only complaint as such was that once your order for hot food breakfast or dinner is taken, it can take between 40-60 minutes to atrive. "Greeted with a warm and kind welcome. Very easy to find and plenty of parking on site. It was a perfect choice for the 1 night stay we had in breaking a long drive from the north of Scotland to south yorkshire. Food and drink in the inn was very nice and the service by the staff likewise. Breakfast was included in the cost of the stay and we knew it was going to be as good as its past reviews. All in all a great stay."

"Nice hotel on main road through Askrigg. Comfortable room ( No 12) but a little small with 2 single beds. Bathroom had separated bath and ensuite shower. Very nice cooked breakfast and good service throughout. Didn't take evening meal but seemed popular for drinks and meals. Free parking at the rear. Only problem for us was room 12 was up 4 flights of stairs with no lifts. Check with the hotel when booking if that will be a problem for you. Beer garden out back."
