"Property was in a central location and close to shops restaurants and amenities. Ideal for an overnight stay. Plenty of parking close to property at discounted price. Quick and easy check in and staff friendly. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Breakfast busy with slight waiting time for a table but nothing unreasonable. Adequate choice of breakfast items and all good. Ideal place to stay if you don’t want anything with all the frills. Would use again"

"A very nice stay. Staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a little small. However, it is a city hotel and everything you need was in the room. The breakfast was great. All fresh and lovely laid out. The staff were very efficient and helpful. We never ate any other meals at the hotel but others said it was nice. It is right in the centre but I heard no noise at all. Very convenient for the shops and the railway stations."

"Fantastic hotel, have stayed here many times before and always been impressed. Staff are friendly and professional, food in the restaurant is excellent quality and great value for money. The only slight negative on this trip was that the room was cold, and no matter what I did to try and change the temperature it didn’t get any warmer. Other than that it was a great stay."

"With it being a Sunday night which was slow in foot traffic and the main bar being closed, we had dinner in the restaurant. Excellent fish and chips but 1 of my guests was served a very dry and tastless burger. It was removed from our bill which was appreciated. Service on drinks was slow and we needed to chase down refills. Breakfast in the morning was confusing. No direction from our server. Continental offerings we're spread all over the place. In the bar area there was cereal, juices...

"I am a regular. Extremely worth the money. Extremely helpful and understanding staff, who even sorted another hotel for me when they were fully booked. All rooms are different and in 19th and early 20th century style. Love it ❤️ "

"It must be remembered that this is a budget hotel and there are no frills. But it was only £42 for the night for two of us plus an extra £8.50 each for a very good continental breakfast which included baked beans, cold meat and cheese as well as fresh fr, yoghurt and cereal plus various pastries. The room very basic with only a few coat hangers for clothing and no tea or coffee but had a tv and the single beds were very comfortable. Not the sort of place to stay more than overnight as no...
